Frequently Asked Questions +
What does this cost?
Nothing to join us on Saturday December 8th-besides the cost of becoming equipped with a Santa Claus Suit prior to the event.
Who is putting this on?
Santa Claus, don't ask stupid questions.
Do I have to wear a Santa Claus Suit?
Yes. Will you be beaten by a mob of crazed Santa Clauses if you don't wear one? Of course not, but wearing a Santa Claus Suit is strongly encouraged. You are welcome to be Santa Claus or Mrs. Claus--elves are acceptable but somewhat frowned upon.
Where can I find a Santa Claus Suit?
You can score a decent suit for thirty to fifty bucks and they go way up from there. Many people chose to buy a slightly better suit and thought of it as an investment that they can use for years to come. Some local places you can get one quick is any costume shop and at any Party City location.
Why are we doing this?
As the information page tells you, we are doing this to spread Christmas Cheer. It is absolutely NOT some kind of political statement--it's purpose is to get into the Christmas spirit and help others do the same and nothing else.
What if I don't celebrate Christmas?
Everyone is welcome to join in on Cincinnati Santacon. It is about coming together, meeting people, and trying to bring some joy into the world.
To quote Kermit the Frog : "If you believe in love, that will be more than enough, for you to come and celebrate with me."
Do I need a mobile phone?
Yes-Or a friend with a mobile phone as this is the way that Santa will be communicating with us throughout the day.
How is this different then a pub crawl?
We'll be wearing Santa Claus Suits. Most importantly though, participants are overwhelmed by the Christmas Spirit they feel during the event and are able to spread to the community. Hear me now, believe me later...it is a magical experience. |
